Pathogen Detection Systems Announces Delivery of Next Generation Desktop Testing Unit for Customer Trials
For Immediate Release
KINGSTON, ON – Pathogen Detection Systems, Inc. (PDS), a developer of water-borne bacteria detection technologies, announced the first delivery of its next generation Desktop Testing Unit for its Trial and Reference Customer Program. “While I cannot divulge the name of the water bottler that is using this system, they are thrilled with the units initial performance”, says President Peter Gallant who added, “The delivery of this unit is a significant milestone for PDS. A leading edge research project has been successfully developed into a real product now being used by real customers to improve their process and the safety of their end product”. PDS expects to deliver systems to customers in both the Ice Manufacturing and Municipal Water Operator sectors in the next 30 days.
The Desktop Testing Unit (DTU) provides industry-leading reliability for E.coli and Total Coliforms testing in a convenient desktop package that does not require a lab. Utilizing patent pending PolymerPartitionTM technology, the DTU has unprecedented ease of use, has up to an 80% decrease in time- to-result, all at a lower per-test cost.
Pathogen Detection Systems, Inc. develops advanced, on-site bacteriological monitoring systems to monitor the bacteriological quality of water systems, including drinking water, product quality assurance, wastewater, and recreational water applications.
