Pathogen Detection Systems Announces New Appointments to its Board of Directors

KINGSTON, ON - Pathogen Detection Systems, Inc. (PDS) announces the appointment of several new members to the company's Board of Directors. 

"These new members bring a wealth of expertise and deep domain expertise in water quality management, finance and business management, and the commercialization of technology", says Dr. Peter Gallant, President of PDS, who adds that "it's the right team - with the right mix of skills and experience, which is always critical to building an exceptional business."

The PDS board includes:

• Max Christie: a licensed water-plant operator, active water-quality management consultant, and past President of the Ontario Municipal Water Association (OMWA), and a multiple OMWA award winner.  He was also an expert witness to the Walkerton Water Inquiry.
• John Gordon: former Dean of the School of Business, Queen's University and former Chairman of the internationally-ranked MBA for Science and Technology Program at Queen's.  John presently acts as a consultant to industry and government on a wide variety of issues.  He has taught at Queen's, Harvard and Stanford Universities and has been published in the Harvard Business Review, the California Management Review, the Sloan Management Review, the Business Quarterly, the Canadian Business Review and Interfaces.
• John St. Marseille: PDS co-founder and a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, and a practicing hydrogeologist and water quality engineering consultant at the Thompson-Rosemount Group.  John is also a member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers' Safe Water Task Force.
• Brad Ross: co-founder, Entrust Technologies (NASDAQ:ENTU) and former President, Entrust Technologies Europe.  An active angel investor and director of several high-technology companies.
