PDS wins Emerging Technology Award from the Kingston Technology Council

KINGSTON, Ontario, Canada: Pathogen Detection Systems, Inc. received the Emerging Technology Award from the Kingston Technology Council at a gala event held last night at the Ambassador Resort in front of a sold-out crowd. Sponsored by RBC Royal Bank, the award is intended to recognize "a product, service, or process with the greatest potential for benefit, including commercialization, cost reduction through greater efficiency, safety, or contribution to the preservation of the environment."
The awards were judged by a selection committee drawn from across Ontario with outstanding credentials in technology commercialization, technology-based start-ups, and venture capital investing.
"We're obviously delighted and very honoured to have been selected for this award.", says Dr. Peter Gallant, President of PDS. "It's been great to see the high level of community interest in our company - we're very excited about the future of PDS and the worldwide impact that our technology will have on ensuring safe water supplies."
The Kingston Technology Council administers the Awards of Excellence Program as part of its mandate to promote Kingston's technology companies and knowledge-based businesses.
Pathogen Detection Systems, Inc. develops advanced, on-site bacteriological monitoring systems to monitor the bacteriological quality of water systems, including drinking water, product quality assurance, wastewater, and recreational water applications.
